That He would come to earth to die for my sins, knowing that I could never repay Him … thank you Jesus.
You came not for gifts of tinsel or gold, nor for fortune and fame. Instead, you came because of love.
Father , I celebrate your coming to earth through Jesus the Christ. Amen.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
If only 1 would pray.

Temples lie strewn across the earth in rubble, in honor to gods that were worshiped in the past. Yet, the Lord God Almighty, creator of heaven and earth does not lie in sand castles, or buildings built of rock.He is the great God. He is the only true and living God. Yet, He says that his people sleep in this place, the United States of America, while around the world there is an awakening to a cry of danger to freedom once established by His word. Fearsome faces are on the scene, yet many of my people do not cry to me out of fear. They lie passive, as if in the dirt.
Yet, there are a people who are called by my name, whom, if they would humble themselves, seek my face, pray, turn from their evil ways, I will see. I will hear and I will heal their land. Be it so that I will see. I will hear, and my heart will turn toward them, so that I will heal their land. They have fallen from grace, but I will see. I will hear and I will heal their land, if they would turn their hearts toward me.
- It may not be many, but it only takes a few to turn this land around.
- It may not be many, for it only takes a sailor to turn the rudder and guide the ship safely into harbor.
- It only took one, the Son of God, to light up the world when he died on the cross.
- It only takes one to do this that I have called him to do to bring about needed change in this land, the United States of America.
“Strange”, some may say, but it is never about a crowd. It only takes a spark to get a fire going.

“Every cloud has a silver lining.“ This is a popular saying that is used to encourage those who are experiencing difficult situations. It is meant to give one hope that the troubles being experienced will soon come to an end.
I have found that besides having hope for a good outcome, I can be thankful for the God of Peace – Jehovah Shalom, who is with me in the middle of every storm. The presence of His Spirit gives me peace, and for that I am thankful.
He calms the storm so that the waves are still. Psalm 107:29 NKJV
Pull Those Weeds

One of the things I enjoy about the spring and summer months is driving down the street of my neighborhood and seeing the beautifully landscaped lawns. Just the right placement of bushes, trees, flowers, ground cover, mulch, pavers, and other lawn décor to complement the homes, sets a pleasant environment as I pass by. As often as possible, I also like to go walking in the neighborhood. This gets me closer to nature as I look at the various landscaping designs, but it often provides a surprise as well.
As I approach on foot what appears to be a wonderfully manicured lawn, I begin to see that what originally appeared to be a plant is instead a weed! In fact there are weeds growing in the flowerbeds, around the bushes and in the lawn. I’m appalled that the homeowners have let their lawn become so marred by these unsightly weeds. Surely they see them! Why don’t they make it a priority to pull them? How long could it take to simply spray weed killer on them?
As I’m finishing my walk, still shaking my head about several of the lawns that need care and attention, I approach my own home. Hmm…what’s that plant sticking up in the middle of my nicely shaped bushes? Oh my! It’s a weed! Let me pull it! Twenty minutes later, I’m still pulling weeds because once I pull the first one I see another, and another and another. I find myself walking around bushes that I don’t typically get close to, and there are all sorts of small, medium and large weeds growing. I couldn’t see them from the street or from the car as I drove into the garage. I might have just pulled some a week ago, but with recent rains they’ve had more than enough time to grow again. I sadly realize that my lawn looks just as bad as my neighbors’ lawns that I criticized.
My husband is always trying (unsuccessfully) to figure out how to permanently stop the weeds from growing. We alternate between removing them ourselves and paying someone to do it; between pulling them by hand and spraying them with weed killer. There’s never a break, we have to constantly stay on top of this chore or they’ll get out of hand.
As I’m pulling weeds I’m reminded how much they are like life. You can get all dressed up in your finest clothes, and from a distance your hair, makeup and nails may look just perfect. People might look at you in awe as a result of something that you’ve accomplished, but if you’re not pulling your weeds, you may not want people to get too close to you. They might see your heavy makeup trying to cover the flaws in your complexion, your slip hanging, the missing button on your jacket, and the run in your stockings; signs of trouble in your life. They might see that your smile is plastered on your strained face; signs of trouble in your spirit. You may look great from afar, but if others get too close they might see that you’ve failed to keep the weeds out of your life.
Weeds are pesky little things…
….They’re little negative actions that left unchecked begin to grow into regular bad habits. An occasional curse word under your breath when you’re really upset, turns into a convenient expression to use frequently.
….They’re the little white lie you told your boss, your stockholders, or the press, and then you had to keep lying to cover up the first lie; and now your character is shattered.
….They’re the things you neglect to do because you’re tired, like spending time with God, or respecting your spouse’s needs. You don’t notice the difference at first, but after a while you realize that your attitude has changed, and not for the better.
….They’re the foods you eat because they taste sooo good, even though you know they’re not good for you, and they exacerbate your health problems….but you haven’t learned to control your appetite, physically or emotionally.
….They’re the unnecessary cluttered papers and dust in the corners of your home or office that resemble the cluttered people in the corners of your life. They cause you to lose focus on God’s purpose.
I planted a vegetable garden last summer for the first time in my life. It was just a small 4X4’ raised box, but I found that I had to go out almost every day and “tend” my garden. I had to pull weeds; “harvest” the ripe tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers, pull any dead leaves, make sure the rabbits and squirrels weren’t getting into it, and of course keep it well watered. It only took about 10 minutes, but it was a peaceful time, and that small commitment of time enabled my garden to grow bountiful fruit.
In the same way, as I properly tend my life, keep an eye out for the weeds when they’re little and remove them quickly, the positive gifts from God will have room to develop and grow in my life. A wonderful array of His Fruit will be on display for all to see God’s glory in me.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3: 16, 17)
Thank you Lord for your greatest gift of love!

You are more than just a chance happening, and you are not a mistake!
Before David became the king of Israel, he was a young shepherd boy who spent much time in the fields caring for his father’s sheep. He was barely considered important by his brothers. Yet, God had an important plan for his life, and sent the prophet Samuel to anoint him as a future king of Israel.
He was favored by God and in the process of time became the second king of Israel.
Who are you? Who lives in you? If you are a child of the Lord Jesus Christ, then God lives in you and you can believe these words:
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:4
Now, be whom God has made you. Do what He has called you to do, and give Him glory through Christ Jesus.

Many times we quickly read a statement or an article, and lightly scan the words, failing to perceive what veiled messages are being sent.
The previous article on Japan is not a story. It bears facts whether they are being reported via radio and television or not. I am speaking from a spiritual point of view and ‘seeing’ prophetically.
If a map of Japan were to be compared to a malfunctioning traffic light signal, there would be a pulsating red light over the entire map. This would remind observers to stop and exercise extreme caution, when dealing with the island and its surrounding air and ocean.
Today, I am saying that Japan can be compared to a malfunctioning traffic light signal and there is a pulsating red light over the entire map.

If a map of Japan were to be compared to a malfunctioning traffic light signal, I believe that there would be a pulsating red light over the entire map. This would remind observers to stop and exercise extreme caution, when dealing with the island and its surrounding air and ocean.
Unfortunately, winds and tides are not static. They move from one place to another, following ancient routes around the earth. Although their speed may be unpredictable at times, they will get to their destination, wherever that may be.
This morning I was thinking about how a nuclear catastrophe at one location, could affect lives many miles away from its source. Then I began to compare how the present, unfolding nuclear dangers in Japan, were like a hidden nightmare in a book whose story unfurled bit by bit through the turning pages.
But isn’t it so in many of our lives? Bit by bit, tales of disillusion and pain are revealed from situations both planned and unexpected.
It is often referred to as the journey of life.
In the Bible, Psalm 1 relates how a journey of destruction can proceed step by step until a life is ruined, and it offers an alternative route.
Listening to the wicked and following their advice
Hanging out with those who repeatedly break moral laws and joining with them to mock others who follow God’s guidelines for living.
These are some negative behaviors that if allowed to grow, will destroy a life. Once an individual’s life becomes plagued by sin and he self-destructs and is destroyed, he then becomes like dried grass that is blown away and is no more.
Choosing the wrong path lead to his destruction. Although the damage in his life may have been seemed gradual, it was still a process that began as a pulsating blob which spread unchecked. Like a cancer, it annihilated him.
The pulsating red light is not only in Japan, but it is in our hearts. Today, may it be a signal that alerts us to turn from self-centered, manipulative and wicked ways of living, and choose instead, to live in righteousness. Afterall, doing unto others as you would have them do to you is still the greater way. This is what Jesus taught.
My Prayer: May courage, and the power of God deep within our souls, arise. Because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, may it cause us to stand for righteousness, and turn our backs on sin.
May our relatives and all people living in Japan be protected from the ills of radiation.

follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
2 But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.
4 But not the wicked!
They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
5 They will be condemned at the time of judgment.
Sinners will have no place among the godly.
6 For the Lord watches over the path of the godly,
but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

Insider Trading: A Humbling Decision by Priscilla Archangel P.H.D

The following thought provoking article was written by Priscilla Archangel P.H.D.
Two hedge fund managers who used to be employed by one of the world’s largest hedge-fund firms were recently charged with insider trading. The charges came as part of the government’s wide ranging investigation into potential insider trading involving not only hedge-funds but also “expert-networks”. According to an article by Alistair Barr on MarketWatch.com, these men kept a log of inside information stored on a USB flash drive, and destroyed the external drives when the government’s investigation began closing in on them. Their employer fired them in 2010 for poor performance, and is cooperating with the investigation. One of the persons charged has already pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud, and a second count of securities fraud.
Throughout the course of time they were able to gather information on technology companies’ profit and loss statements, earnings, sales, product orders, and other information considered “material” or insider information. They paid cash for the information, and allegedly netted millions of dollars as a result of their fraudulent activity. Other individuals have also been arrested on insider trading charges, and the government has raided several other hedge-fund companies beginning late last year.
I can almost guarantee you that these individuals never expected they would be charged with a crime. Their guilt will be determined by due process of the courts, but meanwhile, their lives have been changed, likely forever. The world of hedge-fund managers is probably very similar to being in a pressure cooker. Their role is to anticipate the future of the companies in which they invest in a way that maximizes profits for their funds, investors and employers. Every bit of intelligence, every hint of information is critically analyzed and added to the equation of predicting the future.
They thrive in an environment of high risk and high stakes. Their adrenalin rush comes from the huge sums of money they can make from a single transaction, the fortunes they control, and the sheer pleasure of winning. The thrill from winning leads to the desire to do it again and again. They crave the spotlight of success. They love standing on a pedestal. If they aren’t careful, they may find themselves playing a dangerous game, walking a tightrope, finding it difficult to pull back and make investment decisions without that “expert” information.
Luke 14:11 (NKJV) says “For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” People in positions of great power and influence are more vulnerable to making decisions or exhibiting behaviors that will ensure they not only remain in control, but that they increase in dominance and strength. They may begin to feel that they’re above the normal rules by which others in their profession operate. They become addicted to the thrill of victory. We’ve seen major political figures, corporate chiefs, entertainers and sports figures all go down this path. One day they were heralded for their greatness, the next day they were shown on TV being led in handcuffs to a court arraignment….a process now known as the “perp” walk.
By the same token, those leaders in positions of great power who operate with humility, integrity, and a focus on giving to and serving others, will be lauded for their greatness. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are examples of such leaders. They’re worth billions of dollars, are shrewd businessmen, but have given more of their money away than they’ve kept. They see their wealth as an opportunity to benefit those less fortunate than themselves. They understand the greater value of giving over receiving.
A familiar saying reminds us that “the higher you go, the harder you fall.” So as a leader, make up your mind now whether you’re going to operate in piety or in humility, in receiving or in giving, in deceit or in honesty.

Dear Lord,
My prayer today is that I will trust you. I will trust you and do good.
I will trust you in good times, as well as in difficult times. I will trust you when you say, “Go”, and I do not yet have the details of your plan. I will trust you Lord, knowing that you are faithful and will supply all that I need. In you, O Lord, I put all my trust. May my heart remain open to discern how and where you are leading me, and may I be faithful to your call, trusting you step by step, each day.
You are a good God, and I will trust you, O Lord, and do good. Amen.

Dear Lord,
You are good. In spite of confusion, anger, distrust and fear all around, you remain a good God. Your presence is here and I turn my heart towards you, for you are good.
Thank you for your mercy when I did not deserve it. You reached out your hands of love, accepted me and changed my life for the better. Each day, I have experienced your loving-kindness and faithfulness in one way or another.
So Lord, on behalf of my brothers and sisters, I ask that you would reach out and touch them today. Just as you heard me, hear someone’s prayer today. Heal the wounded hearts of those who have tragically lost loved ones. Heal those who are sick and by your power, deliver. May they soon be able to testify of your goodness in their lives.
I humbly rely on your guidance each day, and I know that you will see me through every situation that I will face.
Thank you for peace – Jehovah Shalom. And I know that you will answer my prayer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Psalm 20
1May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
2 May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion;
3 May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
4 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
5 We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the LORD fulfill all your petitions.
6 Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
8 They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.
9 Save, LORD!
May the King answer us when we call.

God’s Addressable Ads
30 Dec 2010 1 Comment

by Dr. Priscilla Archangel, Ph.D.
“Targeted TV Ads Set for Takeoff”. That’s the headline in the Wall Street Journal (December 20th Section B*) announcing that DirecTV will rollout “addressable ads” which will allow advertisers to send targeted commercials into around 10 million homes, based on the interests of that household. They’re partnering with Starcom MediaVest which purchases ads on behalf of major consumer goods companies.
A test conducted earlier by Starcom and Comcast Cable with a smaller target audience provided evidence that households receiving targeted ads changed the channels 32% less than homes which didn’t receive the specific ads. The DirecTV initiative will reach many more households, and while this is a $10-20 million venture, Merrill Lynch projects that by 2015, addressable ads will be an $11.5 billion business.
The basic premise of course is the ability of cable TV and other companies to collect and utilize information about its customers so that these customers will receive advertisements targeted to their interests. Advertisers can use their marketing dollars more effectively based on age, income, gender, interests purchases, favorite channels, etc. The customer in turn will receive messages that advertisers think they will be more responsive to, thereby increasing the likelihood of purchase, instead of changing the channel when a commercial comes on.
I admit that commercials are sometimes just interruptions to what I really want to watch on TV. I don’t have TIVO so when I’m watching TV (and generally multitasking doing something else), it’s easy to just ignore the commercials. This reminds me a little bit like life; busy focusing on work, meetings, family, friends and so many things to do; all the “important stuff”. Then here come the commercials; someone trying to tell me something for my own good, or warn me about the future. But do I pay attention or stop and listen?
In 1998, an anonymous donor purchased ads on billboards in Florida, and posted catchy but realistic messages such as the ones in the illustration. The messaging became a hit and billboard companies, among others continued the posts.
These words are like addressable ads in our lives from the God who knows our demographics, likes and dislikes, need and wants. He knows our present, our future and more importantly
His purpose for our lives, and wants His very best for us. He’s constantly trying to communicate information and direction to us. Like an advertisement, He wants us to make a commitment, and offers himself in an appealing, loving and tender way. He programs messages to be delivered to us in a variety of ways; something a colleague says, a needy person on the street, a TV channel that we flip to; a song on the radio; a scripture in the Bible.
These are all ways that He uses to tell us how much we need Him; to share His wisdom and direction; to help us to focus on His will for our lives. God guarantees confidentiality of the personal information He has about us, but uses others to confront us on our behaviors.
So what message is God addressing to you? What “ad” has He placed on your “lifetime TV” to encourage you to make a commitment to Him, to take a particular course of action in your life? How many times will you have to “view” the advertisement for you to act on it? God is continually sending you programming that’s unique to His purpose and plan in your life. Just like addressable ads from your cable TV supplier, you can choose to view it, or you can ignore it. Your cable company knows what they want you to see for their corporate gain, but God knows what you need to see for your personal gain. Pay attention to His programmable ads.
“O lord, You have searched me and known me, You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways” (Ps 139:1-3 NKJV).

IT’S A CALL TO PRAY – COTE D’IVOIRE (IVORY COAST)
27 Dec 2010 Leave a Comment
in 1, Church, Ivory Coast, life, Prayer Tags: character development, Christianity, church, deliverance, ivory coast, Jesus, obedience, prayer, spiritual battle
This is an excerpt from a prophetic word shared in Abidjan in 2009.
Part 1: Sunday February 1, 2009 Pray for a Pastor who had sinned:
That his eyes to be opened and that he would see; his body to be healed and restored from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet in Jesus name; that his bone marrow, cells and blood be healed and restored; that his very entrails be healed and reconstructed, new ones be given; that healing be returned to him in Jesus name, as his sins be forgiven. I heard those last few words very clearly – as his sins be forgiven.
Then by the Holy Spirit I heard, “He has to forgive others, says the Lord, and he has to return unto them all that he has stolen through the wiles of the flesh and crafty dealing. Even if he is left with nothing, I will restore him. But this is his doing and he has to pay for the crime of not knowing me as he should; not knowing the one in whose name he was casting out demons, while at the same time doing wickedness.
He has to know me for himself, for there is an anointing in him to do great works in my name, but he will go to the grave with it if he does not repent for all his sins, which are many.”
“There is never a time when I shall not restore someone who has the faith to be restored, and who has not condemned his own soul unto destruction, perdition.” (ruin)
Then by the Holy Spirit I continued to hear the following:
Put him on his feet. Let him stand and tell me, confess to me what he has done…. He can’t because he is too weak.
I then heard this scripture being quoted by a voice in the background, ‘What is man that thou art mindful of him or the son of man that thou visitest him’?
Then I heard the sick man’s voice crying out to the Lord saying,
“Lord I repent of all my sins. I restore unto you fourfold of all that I have taken and stolen.”
Part 2: Let people, tell people to repent of all their sins and turn from their wicked ways, and I from heaven will heal their land. For it is not a forsaken place. There is coming a new anointing to heal in this nation of many people. There is coming a new wind blowing in this land. Prepare for it. There are people here that need your anointing to heal, restore and be forgiven by my grace.
There is coming a new season in this nation that they shall be blessed. But first, they that know my name should, and must humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, and I from heaven who sees all and hears all will bless this land.
The dead person was resurrected. He represents all that is dead here in this land. The dead shall hear. The lame shall walk. The deaf shall hear. The blind shall see. And others shall have the gospel preached to them that they shall be delivered and set free.
- Tell them to put up a standard.
o Raise their flag higher than before. Keep it not down in the dust where there is no respect.
- Pray against sickness and disease in this land, nation.
(i) Many have opened their mouth and spoken evil against this land.
(ii) Deal with words spoken in this land. That is how you shall pray for this land. Deal with words spoken, and that you shall speak.
Part 3: Wednesday February 4, 2009
People have fulfilled many desires in the past and many more are yet to come. But, my kingdom in this place lies in disarray. Who will build my kingdom in this place if not the ones who are called by my name? But how shall it be built if they humble not themselves, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways?
Yet they say that they have not done wickedly. It is others. It is always others. No one lays claim to his part of the wickedness that has been done here in this land. No one wants to acknowledge that I have seen his plan. I have heard his thoughts, his heart, and I have said repent, yet my words go unnoticed.
There is coming a day in my land when revenge killings shall be the order of imparting to this nation, justice. But it does not have to be, for I am saying now to spare you from the pain to come that if you humble yourself and seek my face, and turn from your wicked ways, I will see from heaven and I will heal your land.
There is enough anointing left in you to do a great work in this land, but you have come to a place where you have repented of your sins and been sitting, sitting, sitting. Are there not enough days in which to share my gospel? Are there not enough hours do my will? Are there not enough avenues and ventures in which to impart my principles of doing things honestly? Can a lie be taken as truth for always? Cannot you speak the truth and impart righteousness in the way that you do things?
There is enough light flowing from you to chase away darkness but what good is it if it is a flicker and you do not fan it?
Fan the flame of my love. Let there be an outpouring of my light into darkness. But it will come as you do things honestly, righteously in the market place, in ventures and undertakings, in media, in songs…

God’s kingdom is a place for those who are not just called, but chosen; who are not only prepared, but integrated into the very fiber of His being. It is not a mistake when the Lord says to you that you belong to the Kingdom of God.
Righteousness is the hallmark of being in God’s kingdom. Righteousness. Standing for righteousness is the hallmark for being in His kingdom. Those who fight, and perpetrate fears into others, dominating them by their arrogance and ignorance know not the right ways of living, know not the right modes of operating, and know not righteousness from the very core of its being. So don’t be fooled. Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
So, although I call myself a Christian, am I righteous?
Have I been a good neighbor to someone in need?

Joy to the world, the Lord is come, Let earth receive her King, Let every heart prepare him room, and Heaven and nature sing, and Heaven and nature sing, and Heaven and Heaven and nature sing! He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove, The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, and wonders of His love, and wonders, wonders of His love!
This morning we are reveling in the wonders of the righteousness and love of Jesus. Our hearts sing “Oh how I love Jesus – Because He first loved me!” We are so grateful for yet another day to gather together with our sisters and brothers and give You praise! It has been a glorious time of intimacy between us all week long. But there is something about gathering together with others who also love You that causes praise, worship, and adoration to go to another level.
We lift up all of our bothers and sisters who may have been under attack this week or whose hearts may have cooled toward You. We pray right now in the Name of Jesus that they would come back to fervency toward You. We speak to the atmosphere wherever they are right now that they would be delivered from anything that is other than a white-hot fervency for You! We prophesy over them that they will bless You at ALL times and Your praise shall continually be in their mouths.
We decree that their souls shall make its boast in You. We thank You that the humble will here thereof and be glad. We thank You that they will magnify You with us, and that we shall exalt Your name together. We lift up worship services all over this world today. We pray that, at each one, Your Word will go forth with love and power. We pray that You would be in manifestaton in their midst.
Walk up and down the aisles and move in and through the hearts of every one of Your children we ask in the powerful Name of Jesus. Cause salvations, healings, and deliverances to flow among the people. We pray that each person in each worship service would be attentive to Your Word, have ears to hear Your Word, have hearts to obey Your Word, and feet to walk out that obedience. Wonderful Father, let their be true fellowship between You and Your children this day. May we come together with such unity that There You will be free to command the blessing!
Let the dynamics of Father and children communications be in demonstration today. Move in our midst and have Your perfect way among us. Rule and super-rule over us. Get all of the glory out of our lives we pray in the powerful Name of Jesus, Amen.

We are full of worship because of Who You are! Oh how we love You, Father. The many wonderful things that You provide for us and do for us mean so very much to us. We need and desire them. But it is YOU that we daily seek and insistently require! We know that our very being is locked into Who You are. It is such a comforting and secure realization to know that the God of the universe is our very own Father.
Today we just want to pour out our adoration for You. Your holiness is so amazing to us. Because we are such creatures of change, the fact that You never change is so important to us. You are consistently holy and never waiver from it. Your righteousness is such a force of protection for us. You always do right and this keeps us from evil. Your mercy and Your grace are places we run to when we have missed Your glorious mark and we thank You for these refuges.
We thank You for repentance that allows us to come back into proper relationship with You when we sin. Thank You that You promise to always be faithful and just to forgive us and restore us to Your righteousness. What can we say about Your love? It is so amazing! In fact, You describe Yourself as LOVE!
Thank You that love caused You to give Jesus for us when we had rejected Your instructions and eaten of the forbidden fruit. Love lifted me, when nothing else could help, love lifted me! Your teaching nature as our Father is so uplifting. The way You patiently take us through our lessons means so much to us. Because of the sin that surrounds us as a result of our original sin, we sometimes do not recognize or understand Your instructions. But You never fail to give us the same lesson in a different way. You are determined that we are successful and have the life You are dreaming over us. Thank You for Your diligence!
You have promised to never let us go and we are grateful for that. There are times when we feel so weak that we cannot hold on to You. But You hold us and breathe strength back into us. Thank You Daddy! We desire to be accurate representations of Jesus today. Holy Spirit, we give ourselves to You with joy! We give this worship and these praises in the matchless Name of Jesus, Amen.

A time of prayer is a time of communion. If there is no communion, then, have we really prayed?
Keep Sight of The Big Picture

It is good to use your gifts and talents for the good of others. It is wonderful to spend time developing skills. Maybe you are a writer, sportsman, or artiste. But, do you always remember the goal that you want to accomplish? Where in our scheme of things is loving God, or is that important? I would say that our ultimate goal, the big picture, should always be loving God.
Have you ever gotten so busy doing ‘the work of the Lord’ that you forgot to spend time with Him as you would with someone that you loved? Spending quiet time meditating on God’s word and reflecting on what He has done in our lives is important.
It is not always easy to discipline oneself and remain focused, in order to complete a plan. Yet, working without a clearly defined plan will only lead to confusion, which in turn delays the accomplishment of the goal.
Goals are attainable. Learn to manage your time and resources to avoid becoming bogged down when working on the small steps of the plan. Remember the big picture, and learn how to manage the small steps. Have you ever spent so much time trying to perfect the small steps that you forgot about the bigger picture? Have you ever spent so much time on one small step that you never completed the bigger plan? I have made mountains out of molehills with what was trivial, and the trivial took the place of the goal, which then was never accomplished.
No matter what task has to be done, it is always important to reflect and refocus our thoughts on the important goals. Maybe you like to create ‘To Do’ lists as a guide to help with your daily tasks. I have had long lists that looked intimidating as dense trees in a tropical forest.
So, how do I prevent myself from becoming lost in the midst of many details? How do I keep remembering the big picture? When it comes to serving in the Kingdom of God, I remember that my big picture is simply to love Him. Then I take one step at a time.
So, take a moment to review your goals. What have you accomplished? What has not been done? What skills have you developed that would enable you to accomplish your plan? Honestly assess where you are in your plan, and where you need to be. Set out to achieve your purpose and mission. This time of study and retrospection is important and necessary.
Let us review our goals, the goals of ministry and mission. Observe how they have changed or developed over time, and then create new goals, to accomplish the big picture.
May we show that we love God by obediently doing what He has called us to do. In that way we will keep sight of the big picture.
John 14:15 Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.
“If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you. I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth. The godless world can’t take him in because it doesn’t have eyes to see him, doesn’t know what to look for. But you know him already because he has been staying with you, and will even be in you!
18-20“I will not leave you orphaned. I’m coming back. In just a little while the world will no longer see me, but you’re going to see me because I am alive and you’re about to come alive. At that moment you will know absolutely that I’m in my Father, and you’re in me, and I’m in you.
21“The person who knows my commandments and keeps them, that’s who loves me. And the person who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and make myself plain to him.”
22Judas (not Iscariot) said, “Master, why is it that you are about to make yourself plain to us but not to the world?”
23-24“Because a loveless world,” said Jesus, “is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him—we’ll move right into the neighborhood! Not loving me means not keeping my words. The message you are hearing isn’t mine. It’s the message of the Father who sent me.
Do a good deed today.

Thank God for the cross!
We often remember it as a place of pain and shame; a place of sacrifice. A place where the ugliness of man’s sinful heart was nailed upon an innocent Christ.
Yet for all its humiliation and sorrow, there is a beauty in the cross of Christ. It is not just a wooden cross hewn from a tree, but it is a golden cross revealing the redeeming light of God’s glory. It is not only a cross soaked with the sin of man, but it is a cross brilliant in the delivering power of God.
The light of the cross of Christ chases away all shadows and darkness. It cuts directly through our stubborn hearts and removes the deepest root of sin, in order to bring us deliverance.
Thank God for the Cross of Christ!

1 Don’t worry about the wicked
or envy those who do wrong.
2 For like grass, they soon fade away.
Like spring flowers, they soon wither.
3 Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
5 Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
6 He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
7 Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.
8 Stop being angry!
Turn from your rage!
Do not lose your temper—
it only leads to harm.
9 For the wicked will be destroyed,
but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land. More

The Election furor has come and gone. Many are excited that their candidate won. Others are second guessing their choice while so many others are sad and afraid of the unknown. Yet, in the midst of this period of change, God’s faithful word remains the same. It is His faithful assurance found in the scriptures that I will be sharing with you for the next few days. Let the word of God renew your faith for He never fails.
Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 3: 5-12 (The Message)
Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
don’t sulk under his loving correction.
It’s the child he loves that God corrects;
a father’s delight is behind all this.

Some may say that time-tested biblical truths are of no value today. They believe that there is no absolute truth and no God; no right or wrong. Instead, we can be directed from within by a source of life, that spiritual entity that is with everything living on the planet.
On the other hand, there are many who say that they believe in God and that Jesus Christ His Son came to earth to show them the way of salvation; a way which brings them into harmony with God who is the all-knowing, faithful, provider, healer, the sustainer, deliverer and father of mankind.
As I read His book, the Bible, I have not seen where this great God ever deceptively tantalized his people into believing that he would do something great for them, then disappoint them. Often, it was man who failed to live up to his end of the agreement. He disappointed both himself and God by embracing and perpetrating sins on himself, his family, town, nation and people. More

You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God.
You’re blessed when you follow his directions,
doing your best to find him.
That’s right—you don’t go off on your own;
you walk straight along the road he set.
You, God, prescribed the right way to live;
now you expect us to live it.
Oh, that my steps might be steady,
keeping to the course you set;
Then I’d never have any regrets
in comparing my life with your counsel.
I thank you for speaking straight from your heart;
I learn the pattern of your righteous ways.
I’m going to do what you tell me to do;
don’t ever walk off and leave me.

It is better to put your trust in God and let Him bless you.
The prophet Jeremiah wrote:
“Cursed is the strong one
who depends on mere humans,
Who thinks he can make it on muscle alone
and sets God aside as dead weight.
He’s like a tumbleweed on the prairie,
out of touch with the good earth.
He lives rootless and aimless
in a land where nothing grows.
7-8“But blessed is the man who trusts me, God,
the woman who sticks with God.
They’re like trees replanted in Eden,
putting down roots near the rivers—
Never a worry through the hottest of summers,
never dropping a leaf,
Serene and calm through droughts,
bearing fresh fruit every season. More
