Go Green …

Green, Green, Green! It seems to have become the most favored color of the latest bandwagon. Go green and help preserve the planet. Preserve mother earth! And in the midst of these cries, millions of hungry and needy children are having their voices subdued and stilled, because of the louder cry of the adults who have the financial means to manipulate the media for political expediency – Go Green!

Over the past couple days, I saw adults deceive, lie and manipulate children into believing what they wanted them to believe. But the children were not fools. Many of them sensed that something was wrong. They ‘smelt the rat’. However, they themselves became like cornered rats, not knowing where to turn in the crafty maze created by the adults around them.

That maze of blind deceit was not new for some of the grownups who had gotten used to living in that manner for many years. For others, spiritual and moral blindness had become an accepted way of life. ‘Kissing up’ to a superior who might do them a favor seemed to be most important. It seemed as though the tears of the children were treated no differently from the trauma of the unborn before being ripped from its mother’s womb. Both were ignored.

So, Go Green?

Maybe this is just another mantra to chant while babies are murdered in cold blood while their parents call it abortion.

Go Green?

Maybe this is just another mantra to chant while adults slander leaders in society from fathers and mothers to priests and presidents.

Go Green?

Maybe this is just another mantra to chant, in order to drown the voices of the faith movement who proclaim that God is alive and Jesus Christ is His only Son.

Go Green?

Maybe this is just another mantra to chant, to still the voices of those who proclaim the notion of global cooling instead of global warming.

Maybe in the midst of the mayhem, we will stop, listen, and hear the cries of the children who are hungry, naked, unloved and in need of care and justice. Probably, we will hear a cry while on our way to church or while dressing our dogs in their expensive custom made designer outfits (Made from synthetic fibers).

I remember getting a frantic cry from a child who was molested by a family member. In order to respond to that cry and the plea of her mother for help, I had to forgo being ontime for a rehearsal. I had no problem making that choice. However, I was reprimanded by those in charge of the rehearsal who commented that my first obligation was to be on time to the rehearsal which had been scheduled before the child had her problem. Hm …..

What would Jesus have done?

What will you do when you hear that cry?

What will we do when we hear those cries?

You will hear the cries. We will all hear the cries for they are getting louder and we are listening.

God help us respond to those in need before it is too late.

Selah —– (think about it.)

  2. I know. It’s so tough sometimes. Believe me, I see so much suffering in my generation, and those in the next generation. Maybe we should be “going green” maybe we should be “going generation” to save the next generation. Thanks for doing your part, oh, and as far as the story about the kid you helped, let me tell you, what you did won’t be forgotten. You’ve challenged me.
Thanks for making me think friend,
