Pastor Bert Farias inspired the audience as he recently spoke at Bethel World Outreach Church in Clarksburg, MD. He said, “Do not sing about the economy going bad, we are in the midst of a recession, gas prices are up, there is war in Iraq and Afghanistan, terrorists are coming to us … Instead:
You’ve got to keep your joy in the God of your salvation!
Sing about the victory!
Sing about what Jesus has already done!
Sing about Satan’s defeat!
Sing about the victory of the Lord!
Sing about his death, his burial, his resurrection and his ascension on high!
Sing about the fact that He is seated at the right hand of God the father, and all power and authority has been given unto him. Sing about these things!
Sing the songs of redemption!
Sing about where you were, and now where you are, and what you have now because of Christ!
Sing about who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ, and what you can do through Christ!
Sing songs of redemption!
Learn to talk the language of your heavenly father!
Speak those things that be not as if they were!
Sing about what shall be and not what has been!
Frame your world with the word of God by singing songs of redemption and victory!
That’s the language of the Father.
That’s the language of the Son.
That’s the language of the Holy Ghost. The three are one!
So:
Be one with the three and sing songs that will set you free.
Be one with the three and call those things that be not as if they be.
Sing the language of your Father.
Sing words that are born in heaven.
Draw them forth from your heart and from the Lord you’ll never depart.
Keep His way in the darkness of the night and in the light of day.
Keep the way of the Lord.
Make Him your reward.
Rejoice exceedingly in Him and you’ll walk free of sin.
Make Him your delight, and you’ll walk in the day and never the night.
