BULLETIN #7: Let God be our guide as we pray for Bro. Pema in India!
(This urgent request was sent by Pastors presently serving in Japan.)
Pema, a converted Buddhist monk, was studying at a Bible college in the Philippines in January when he determined to return to India to answer his accusers at the Buddhist monastery that had viewed him as a future leader.
Although he knew this might be dangerous, he was confident God would see him through the ordeal and keep his faith strong. He also believed he would be able to win his release from the monastery once and for all and, at the same time, save his family from persecution because of his decision to follow Christ.
Over the past six months while in India, he has been persecuted for his faith.
Pray for him as well as for the protection of his family which includes his elderly parents. Please pray that the God who can move hearts will work within a Buddhist monastery in India to release Pema so that he can return to the Philippines to continue his studies.
He says, “I made a commitment when I gave my heart and was baptized that I will bow down to no other gods except Jesus Christ.” “I am keeping this promise.”
